John Adams Lenses measured for their Dioptric Powers- Dec 8, 2011

On Dec 8, 2011 Dick Whitney and Diane Matuck visited OSV to measure the power of the lenses in these frames. Dick Whitney used

an American Optical Digital Lensometer to measure the powers and view the lens quality.

 

The RE was found to be exactly +3.50 D and the Left Eye was a +3.59. To check the Lensometer

accuracy, he also used AO Calibration lenses and determined these were the correct power.

He was very impressed that the image quality at the Optical Center, and when moved around on the Focimeter nose

was a very good sphere with no appreciable cyl. A view of the Lensometer reticule image for the RE is shown below.
